About Our Hawaii Wedding Photography
Whether it's a simple Hawaii wedding ceremony or vow renewal, just the two of you or a ceremony with family and friends, your Hawaii wedding will best be remembered through great photos... and video too :)
Are photos the most important thing after your happiness? Yes, they are with our website. Everything we do for your wedding ceremony is centered upon getting a great photo coverage of your wedding.
The officiates & ministers, musicians, photographers and videographers we use all understand the importance of your photo and video memories and they are all trained by us towards this purpose. For example, unlike most Hawaii wedding websites and minister operated websites, we never have the officiate stand between or in back of the bride & groom which... all you get are shots of the officiate and profiles of you! It's those small things among other which sets us apart from others.
Understand that we do not offer cheap photography and you can spend as much as you would for a true professional wedding photographer. What we offer is the opportunity for highest quality photography which many tourist websites just can't or won't offer.
We provide the best Hawaii wedding photography available, the kind that "locals" expect for their own wedding and we don't use cheap "tourist" wedding photographers. We use experienced professionals with our top photographer being a top Hawaii wedding photographers for over 20 years and in the business for over 25 years.
If you want the best Hawaii wedding photography available at a reasonable cost, we have it!
There's nothing more disappointing than getting poor wedding photos. You can pay more for your photos and you can go cheaper but, you will not find better Hawaii wedding photography than what we have right here for the price. Just look at our images and look at our competition.
How It Works
We start of coverage with photos of your ceremony followed by coverage of any events like a cake-cutting or toast, photos of family, bridal party, and finally portraits of bride and groom, and scenics. Simple, fast, fun, and always beautiful!
Within the next few days after your wedding, we computer process each individual photo for the best quality for color, contrast, and exposure (1-3 hours of additional work) and we'll remove dust spots. This is versus giving you JPEG photos straight from the camera right after the wedding like many Hawaii wedding websites do (fast is not good. See about RAW below).
Once we're done with processing, we'll make a website of your images (usually within 1 to 3 working days, but it can be up to 10 days if it's a busy week) and we'll post them for selection up to 30 days.
We'll email you a link to your website with instructions. You'll use this personal website to make your selections and you can also use the website to show your family and friends the photos from your Hawaii wedding!
You'll email us your selections. We'll send you a mailing invoice by email which will includes the cost of postage, PayPal transaction fees, and extras you may have purchased.
Make payment via our website and we'll mail you a CD or DVD disk of your image files included in your package by United States Postal Service Priority Mail at the soonest opportunity (usually within a few days). USA domestic Priority Mail usually takes 5-7 days depending upon where you live. International delivery depends upon your countries mail system.
Note: For 99% of our weddings, the coverage provided for is our Ready-Made packages will provide more than enough coverage. We'll let you know if you need more. We also have a Photo-Tour using our most scenic locations.
Basic Photography Information
How we shoot digital photography: Most wedding companies shoot their photos directly to JPEG (just like consumer cameras) and some even give it to you right there on the spot.... not good! You might as well buy a camera and have one of your friends or family shoot photos.
We shoot RAW files. This requires us to "process" each individual image for exposure, tone, color, saturation, and other parameters before being converted to JPEG. This takes up to 1-1.5 hours of additional work but, it's well worth it if you want the best photography! And contrary to what people believe, Photoshop can do only so much and can't fix technically deficient imagery (nor can it ever "fix" poorly conceptualized images). Can we make reprints from our disk? Yes. The disk we provide with all of our packages with photography will allow you to make 4x6 prints anytime at a lab of your choice, as well as from your own computer printer. Why get a handful of 4x6 prints when you can make your own in any amount?
What about print enlargements larger than 4x6? You can order enlargements in the traditional manner as you would from a photographer or you can purchase full size image files which range from 10 mb to 16 mb to make your own enlargements up to 24x36 and larger possible, either before or after the wedding when you see the photos and assess your needs.
Why don't you offer 4x6 prints or big files in your packages? The 4x6 print answer is obvious, make your own 4x6 prints and pay a fraction of the cost we'd have to charge for us to use our time to make prints. Full size images files are an additional option for our packages simply because, 1). We want to give you the "opportunity" for the very best photography, but not every client wants or requires what this costs from a professional photographer 2). We want to keep our initial package prices (with the best photography) as reasonable as possible 3). We use quality photographers and they want at least the "opportunity" to make a little more if create something you like.
You'd be deceiving yourself if you compared any of our prices with any "tourist" websites who promise you everything (more is not better here). Instead, compare us to professional wedding photographers prices whose imagery actually looks professional. You'll find those price can start in the thousands of dollars for the same caliber photography!

My wife did all the planning so I asked about the photos. She said we booked you because anyone can take photos in perfect sunny conditions (well not really in our opinion) but, look at the photos they have, it's cloudy and you can't even tell and they still look great and better than all the other Hawaii wedding websites. - As told to us by one of our clients from Germany who had been traveling around the world (by car) and decided to get married in Hawaii before driving the US and South America and home to Germany.

The morning of the wedding saw my wife and daughter fretting over the dress and the hair appointment to ensure they had "beach do's" ready to handle the occasional sea breezes. Meanwhile, the Groom and I hiked Diamond Head crater and spent some great bonding time together. When we returned, the ladies were still getting their hair done so we gentlemen hit the pool for awhile.
A couple hours before limo time, we enjoyed taking a few family pictures together around our hotel. Right at 3:00 P.M. the limo arrived and we were off on a short ride to Makapu'u' beach where the setting was extraordinary. My friends and coworkers cannot believe the photos you shot are real. "These have to be Photoshop-ed, it is so beautiful!" one said. After a short but very sentimental and memorable ceremony, we were off to another beach for sunset shots which turned out awesome. Then it was back to the hotel for the big dinner. All told, we were gone for maybe two and a half hours but what memories we now have. Grandpa, the former Navy photographer, would approve of your photo work if he was here to see it. It was spectacular and the digital nature of the prints afforded so much more flexibility for sharing this occasion with others.
Weddings are really about memories. And, thanks to your incomparable photography, we have lasting memories we will cherish forever. The one thing I don't have is memories of stress or the inevitable hassles associated with the usual wedding problems. The whole event went like clockwork and the smile on the face of the bride shows. That alone was worth the price of admission. And to think we actually thought about having this wedding at home.
