A Hawaii Wedding

Our packages our set-up to provide the highest quality photography for any budget. Whether you get more or less coverage, you'll want the highest quality for what you're paying for.

Our packages include just the right amount of time for each coverage. You don't need a lot of time simply because, we know exactly what to do for each location, the poses, and the shots. We work simply, fast, and efficiently, but never hurried. You don't need 2 hours of photos that just gets boring, and we won't sell you 2 hours of photogrgrapy (unless it's really needed)

Your photo session begins at the start of the ceremony. Portraits, family shots, scenics, romantic scenes, cake-cutting, etc. will follow the ceremony as provided for in your coverage.

After the wedding, usually within a couple of days, but sometimes in a day and sometimes up to a week, depending upon the time of year and our workload, we'll manually process each individual photo for the best quality color, contrast, and exposure. We may also do a few unique enhancements where appropriate. Once we're done processing, we also make a personal WebPhotoGallery for you.

We'll email you a link to your WebPhotoGallery. Use it to share your Hawaii wedding photos with your family and friends for up to 30 days and to select your photos. Note: If you have a package which includes all the photos, there's no need to make selections, you get them all.

Email us your selections (if required). We'll email you a mailing invoice for postage, credit card transaction fees, and any other products and service you ordered additionally after the wedding. Make payment via our website link to PayPal just like your reservation, and we'll mail you the DVD disk of your images, video, or anything else we need to send you. That's it.

Answers to some questions

How can we tell what's good photography and what isn't? Easy. First look for straight horizons. There's nothing more annoying than crooked horizon lines. Next, look at the faces and the lighting. Do people have deep shadows in the eye sockets? Do their eyes look "dead" and without sparkle? How does the skin look? Look at the colors of the photos. Are they clean, clear, and vibrant? Do they look real? Look at the poses and framing. Look at the variety of shots. Notice the variety of perspectives and lens selection.

How we shoot digital photography: Most Hawaii wedding companies let the camera do the processing and shoot directly to JPEG just like your consumer camera and even give it to you right there on the spot or tell you to come to the office (where they try to up-sell you) to pick-up. We instead shoot in the professional RAW format which requires us to process each image indivudually for the best exposure, tone, color, saturation, and other parameters before being converted to JPEG. Do we like doing this? No, it takes up to 2-3 hours of extra work, but it's just not professional and it just wouldn't look as good if we didn't do it this way. Can we make photo reprints from our disk? Yes, that's the whole idea! The DVD disk we make will allow you to make the print sizes included in your package, anywhere at a photolab of your choice, as well as from your own computer printer. Full Size JPEG image files will allow you to make the highest quality enlargements up to 24x36 and even larger sizes!

What about usage rights? You have the right to use your photos for any personal use you want and really, what more would you want them for otherwise? If you do intent to use for photos for more than just personal use, business, or commercial uses, let us know.

Why don't you include prints in your packages? We don't include prints because it's bogus, it's the old way, and it just doesn't make sense nowadays. Really, if a couple of bucks worth of $0.13 cent prints is the deciding factor for someone, we wish them well.
